Murals

This mural reflects Envirotek’s commitment to responsibly managing chemical waste in order to protect and preserve our planet. The figure in the hazmat suit symbolizes that responsibility by holding the life of the world, represented by fish, water, and plants, in the palm of their hand. The lime green glow and the navy frame reflect the colors of the Envirotek logo. Flowing leaf patterns and new growth surrounding the hazmat suit emphasize the thriving, healthy environment made possible through Envirotek’s positive impact.

Elicious Motown Mural

Taking on the restaurants Motown theme, I painted two singers on either side with a record player shining between them as if their voices are actively recording to the track. Found throughout the piece are details alluding to Motown such as the 1960’s suits with the large shirt collars, the era of big hair, and the original aluminum microphones.

Chiefs Wolf Pack

Leading the pack is the QB wolf with the signature playbook on the wrist stating “:13” for the iconic 13 second game. This wolf carries a flag with the world record decibels written on it. Following close behind is the wolf with an 87 gold chain and a friendship bracelet! The ground has several items including Andy’s headset, the “Super ball”, and Lamar Hunts iconic glasses. Among the players you’ll find a Lombardi trophy patch, player names and numbers associated with the owners of the building and old legends, and tattoos adding more fun details like tire marks and a 777 for Vegas! Additionally, the background is inspired by the Zubaz pattern!

Westport Hookah Lounge focuses on Middle Eastern designs and themes in order to bring ambience to the lounge. It features a mural in the front shop that turns their door into an Arabic culture design entrance. And a private room in the back showcases a desert oasis, a large camel smoking hookah, and a rare Middle Eastern bird called the Shaheen Falcon.

Whiteman Airforce Base

This mural is on the flight-line where they house the world’s only B-2 Spirit bombers. The bald eagle flies in tandem with the B-2 symbolizing the freedom of flight and showcasing mankinds ability to take inspiration from animals to create remarkable things. The eagle carries an olive branch symbolizing the hope for peace as each mission is carried out. Surrounding both are 50 stars shining with the sun’s rays illuminating the scene.

The Legacy at Greenhills

This mural was painted for my wife and I'd wedding! It features local Missouri flowers that can be found on the wedding venue’s multiple flower fields! The ceremony site pergola can be found down the path and if you view the mural from the reception space, the real path appears to lead right into the mural!

“Nurtured by Nature” explores the evolving relationship between a man and a single resilient plant, told across the four seasons and the four walls of the building. Throughout the mural, the man is depicted protecting, watering, and nurturing the plant through every hardship nature brings. He believes he is the caretaker ensuring its survival, but the plant is also sustaining him through quietly offering purpose, grounding, and moments of hope. Together, they form a symbiotic bond in which both grow.

Sushinami

Sushi-Nami features two koi fish murals. The first consists of 235 smaller blue koi fish that travel the wall like the flow of a stream. The second hosts 8, a lucky number in Japanese culture, larger koi in a bright blue and orange. Both sides depict the fish traveling upward as a sign of perseverance and destiny.

St.Teresa's Academy

St.Teresa's Academy wanted to bring a spark to their piano teaching room, so I created several of the girls in uniform floating among the instruments. The private all girls school has a star as their mascot so there are several stars throughout the piece in various locations.

Combat Cardio

This boxing gym mural features people training with a comic inspired layout and a lightning bolt alluding to "sting like a bee"

Grill 'n' Grind is a food truck that features a magic chef who cooks up magical dishes! The fire, lightning, magic, and graffiti all come together to create one epic wrap around scene for the amazing owners of this truck!

Mixing Bowl Food Cart

The Mixing Bowl was so much fun to redesign a logo and paint a food cart! I chose to create this magic chef character who is creating something delicious in his mixing bowl. The cart features abstract designs that give a pop of color on the top hood as well as a few of the signature dishes from the Mixing Bowl!

Dream Acres

Created in collaboration with my amazing fiancé, Leah Dwyer, this mural combines farm life with frenzy in a classic postcard style. Within the mural are several images depicting activities on the farm and some of the nearby animals that frequent the area!

This mural embodies the life of a painter by depicting the inevitable moment of chaos when all paint and supplies spill and fly out the back of the car! This mural was made for the SpraySeeMO mural festival in honor of the owners old, paint-covered car, "the paint tank".

Parade of Hearts "Jazzed About KC Jazz

The Parade of Hearts is a series of large fiberglass hearts that are placed around Kansas City each year. The organization places the hearts in several locations outside all over KC to bring life to the city for months before then auctioning all of the hearts for charity. This year (2023) I was one of 40 selected artists.

This was my second year participating in the Parade of Hearts.

The Wishing Coin is a stone-carved interactive sculpture that brings Kansas City’s history and culture to life. A heart-shaped centerpiece spins between the Ancient KC Wolf and Cowtown heritage, inviting visitors to “flip a coin” for fun or guidance. Detailed carvings celebrate KC’s Art Deco architecture, jazz, sports, BBQ, and other beloved icons, while water at the base creates the feel of a timeless wishing well.

Le Buzz Cafe

This mural represents the journey of immigration and celebrates the meshing of different cultures. The piece can be read left to right starting with a Guatemalan man in a boat bringing his coffee beans across the water. Then the Quetzal, the magnificent national bird of Guatemala, is seen carrying a coffee bag and a Laurel leaf. Lastly, the destination is the Missouri State flower, the Dogwood, representing and welcoming all walks of life into our state! Additional hidden gems: Both the Laurel Leaf and the color of the water are direct references to the Guatemalan flag!

Anchor Island Coffee

This mural is in a local sea-themed coffee shop in which I created the octopus in a way that would add life through the outstretched tentacles holding several coffee cups!

A fun and simple text is accompanied by a boy riding a lamb with the sun and toys surrounding them.
